He felt odd…he really did not belong.He was awkward…and had no graces…he looked around..at people immersed in their enjoyment..taking in the beauty of the moment…but all that he could think was that he simply didn’t belong!!!.He had come here to stop his mom from killing him with her nagging.Poor thing…he was fond of her..she worried about him…and reasons, she had galore!what kind of a mom wouldn’t worry about a young son whose whole world revolved around chemicals,labs and covalent bonds!!!he wondered whether he was weird..why ,the only thing which comforted him was the smell of labs..there he was the king..but put him in a social situation like this..he became the jittery stammering fool.He was weird in the sense..that he saw no beauty anywhere but in the quaint mysteries lady chemistry held in her bosom.He loved unfurling her tightly held fist to learn a new thing abt the way matter was built.He housed a hearty dislike for the artsy people..who walk around…with no knowledge about how nature worked her wondrous ways..it was always science…which had made sense of the things around them.And all that he could think of telling “Art” was “bah!”…Man! he detested them.He longed to feel the smell of vinyl chloride and to let it drug his senses again…he wanted to get out of this snooty art gathering as soon as possible..he started searching for his mom..and then he saw her and he stood..looking,staring…ogling!!!he could sense himself..floating..his sense drugged..and slowly and willfully losing control!!!It was love at first sight..of that he was certain..but in an art gathering….the shame of it!!!But he didn’t care,he wanted her…her eyesoh!those eyes..wat chemical composition could put in so much lustrous light into them???they..were pools of serenity..her lips curved..with the hint of a smile…and her hair…was as black as satan’s heart!!!and her skin…was the exact shade of sun’s first ray.But more than the beauty she possessed..was her sweet expression…combined with the mischief her eyes held..a silent invitation…he wanted her..more than anything…he was in love..possessed by her sheer beauty…and she smiled knowing her power!!!
He thought Love was all chemicals…people under the power of raging hormones!!!but now he realized that it was so much more a *feeling* thing!!!he experienced the sudden sun-burst inside him…leaving him with a tingling feeling…he had to find out who she was..and had to make her his!he loved with the irrational way a man who has never been in love does!!!he started moving towards her…she almost had a hypnotic appeal!!!he went near her…and gaped at her open mouthed…and then with dead certainty..opened his cheque book..and wrote out a unholy sum and gave it to the art-dealer.By the same time his Mom joined him…Looking at her lovestruck son..she beamed and said”beta,didn’t i tell u..that u wont be able to resist Ravi Verma’s paintings…he is one of the great masters!”
