I'd say travelogues are not so difficult to write. The only thing you must do is remember the name of the place and what you saw around. If you are anything like me, then remembering the name of the place comes first. Coz I never remember the name of the places that I go to. I'll like, and we went ahhh what was the name of the place now, somewhere up north... ermm.. uhh.. and then that ends my travelogue :D

How long back was this trip? You seem to vividly remember every detail of it. Very picturesque I must say. But as always, I'm not the kind of person who can paint the picture in my mind :D. So all I see could do is wonder how you can go about linking seemingly unrelated things, but in some weird way make sense.

Either ways, great post, and it must feel good to remember things in such great detail. Looks like you had a hell of a time on your vacation.
